To expedite order processing and enhance the packer’s efficiency, the system has introduced “Pigeon Hole” management.
Pigeon holes are small movable bins that store all items of a single order, and in turn:
1) Reduce time required at packing station
2) Ensure accurate and complete shipments in the shortest possible time.
Lets say, you have 10 customer orders to fulfill and 5 pickers collecting all ordered items. Instead of bringing all the products to the packing table directly, these are first sorted for every order and stored in separate bins (pigeon holes). Once all the products of a specific order are stored in the pigeon hole, it is marked as “Completely Filled”, the packer then can conveniently pack all the items in the packaging box(es).
This saves the packer the time involved in identifying and packing all ordered items.
