New Feature: Record Unit Of Measurement (UOM) for Optimized GRN and Order Picking (for non-serialized inventory)
The system has introduced UOM to further reduce time involved in GRN and order picking.
How does this help?
- Fast tracking GRN process ensures listing of QC pass products across channels in minimum time possible, and zero loss of potential sales due to stock-outs.
- Optimized order picking, in turn speeds up the order fulfillment process and ensures timely order delivery for wholesale.
How does this work?
UoM or Unit of Measurement in EasyEcom is defined as Pallet, Case, Pack and Each(SKU).
Inner pack consists of multiple items for SKUs, and multiple inner packs combined make a case. A pallet consists of multiple cases.
For example, a case of 20 inner packs, each pack having 10 units will have 200 units in total.
In the case of GRN, instead of scanning 2000 units, the warehouse user can scan a single inner pack. Similarly, in case of order picking instead of individually scanning 200 units, the warehouse team can scan an inner pack and proceed with wholesale order processing.
The UoM page contains several enhancements including date and UoM type filters to streamline the UoM management process. Sellers can now download these details into a .CSV file for easier and convenient UoM management.
Note that UOM is currently applicable only for non-serialized inventory.
